Assignment 7 - Lighter

I haven't tried printing this yet, but hopefully it will not turn out so dark . . .

Assignment 7

I really liked doing this assignment; it tied together the things we learned all term.
This one printed much darker than it looked on screen.

Photoshop - Day and Night

Well, after many technical difficulties, I finally managed to post these. Sorry about the quality - I had to decrease the pixels to post them, so they printed a bit better than they look on the screen.
Ah, technology.
Anyway, I used a variety of textures and tools to do this; I did all of it in photoshop and looking back, I wish I had done some of it in SketchUp, particularly the tiles . . . Overall, I like the night scene better.

Midterm Project - Edited

I just made a couple of quick changes in these - I switched the section and the immersive perspectives on the first page, which allowed me to make the section larger. I also justified and resized the text box.
On the second slide, all I did was adjust a clipping mask that had overlapped a corner of the immersive.

Entourage - Three images

I wasn't sure if these images needed to be posted on the blog or just put in file server, so I uploaded them just in case.

Assignment 3

Assignment 3
I felt that it would be most effective to create a new layout than to use one of the schemes from assignment 2.

Assignment 2

CENTRALIZED
This focuses around a central void. The transparent box is elevated to help emphasize that void.

DISTRIBUTED
Everything in this model is evenly spread to help reduce the hierarchy of space and create a more grid-like structure.

HYBRID
For the hybrid model, I tried to create a shape that created a center, but did so in an asymmetric grid form.

Assignment 1, part 2

SUBTRACTIVE APPROACH
To create this object, I began by removing a corner and working from that. I liked the idea of breaking up the edges, but still leaving the form of a cupe intact.

Assignment 1, part 1

ADDITIVE APPROACH
I generally wanted to create the appearance that this consists of one image that has been broken into two pieces and pulled apart. I began with a volume in each corner and expanded from there, creating one large central void with others branching from it.
